Meeting New People: How to Behave. What to Share. NEW

This four session class is a wonderful opportunity to discuss the definition of “a stranger” while learning how to respond appropriately to new people.  Participants will be provided with guidelines to staying safe, have the opportunity to observe how a person can respond to a stranger and to practice skills through role play. Participants will identify and discuss different types of relationships: Family, Friendship, Acquaintance and Community Helpers. We will talk about information that should or should not be discussed within these relationships, and expected behaviors when interacting with individuals from these different groups. This class will be taught by instructors from South East Minnesota Center for Independent Living, SEMCIL.
