Summer Trips for Riverside, Overland, and Sunset Terrace
Join us on a journey of celestial discovery! We start with the ancient Greeks, and go all the way to modern immense telescopes. We will revel in the splendor of the various worlds in our Solar System and the ferocity of our scorching Sun. Then we will leave our home to go visit star nurseries, then out to the edge of the Milky Way, and then . . . beyond! Suggested ages 8+.
Ben Joslin is the Director of Rochester Public School’s Planetarium at Mayo High School. He graduated with a degree in science from the University of Arizona and has a graduate degree from Hamline University in St. Paul, Minnesota. He has taught Astronomy and Earth and Planetary Physics in the district for the last 6 years, and has been teaching science and math since 2005.
