  • Mini Musical “The Lion King Jr." (Gr. 3-6 & 7-12)

    Lion king Jr. is a special adaptation of the classic Broadway musical. Join Director Poppy Lear for a two-week musical theater camp! Students will audition for parts, learn the lines, and sing the songs, all culminating in a grand performance! Family and friends will be invited to the final Friday night performance at 7:00pm. All participants will perform on stage either in a speaking role or as part of a chorus. In an effort to ensure a positive experience for all students, participants must be able to follow directions and work independently on assigned duties. Auditions will take place on the first day of camp. No refunds will be processed after auditions are complete.
  • Planting Seeds Tutoring: Drama Club/Improv (Gr. 1-6)

    Students may choose to attend a half day or full day of camp. This course will be designed to be a creative outlet for students. It will be largely improv and therefore basic ground rules regarding appropriateness and proper conduct will be set on day one, but students will be left with ample room for creative expression. Instructor and students will engage in improvisational sketches that we as a group design during the first session. Students will be given a list of suggestions, but the aim of the instructor is to guide students through the process of selecting their own material. Full day students please bring a water bottle, snack, and bag lunch daily, and half day students please bring a water bottle and snack daily.

    Students may choose to attend a half day or full day of camp. Through theater and improv games and scene work, students’ imaginations and creativity can blossom to their full potential. Students in our acting classes learn to create characters and trust their instincts. They build confidence while making new friends and developing independent thinking along the way. Full day students please bring a water bottle, snack, and bag lunch daily, and half day students please bring a water bottle and snack daily.
  • Storybook Theatre: Rapunzel Jr. (Gr. 1-12)

    PLEASE NOTE: There is a discrepancy in the times listed in the Summer catalog. The correct times are M-F 12:15 - 4:30 PM with performances in Friday at 6:30 PM and Saturday at 10:00 AM. STORYBOOK THEATRE Once upon a time... we put on a show! Welcome to Storybook Theatre, where we take classic fairytales and put a fun twist on them, and then you get to act them out! Do you love acting, singing, and dancing? Then Storybook Theatre will surely be a great fit for you! In just one week we'll put together a whole musical, and you get to be one of the stars! Come have a wondrous week with Storybook Theatre! RAPUNZEL Welcome to the Kingdom of Crescendo, a musical place to live! You’ve arrived just in time for the Mourning of the Lost Voice. King and Queen Coda’s daughter Rapunzel was stolen away by the Evil Witch long ago, and Crescendo has never been the same since. When King and Queen Coda develop a taste for a magical fruit, Bradley Baker must save the day! Alongside Bart the Bard, he travels into the woods to find the sought-after berries. Along the way they meet Unicorns but also meet some rock-obsessed Witches in Training and the awfully noisy Punk Rocks. Will our heroes be able to discover Rapunzel’s true identity and return her to Crescendo? PLEASE NOTE: Auditions will be held on Monday, July 22nd starting at 12:15 PM, but may finish before 4:30 PM. Rehearsal will be held Tuesday-Friday, times will vary depending on the participant's role. Schedules will be handed out to students after roles are assigned. Performances will be held on Friday, July 26th at 6:30 PM and Saturday, July 27th at 10:00 AM. Family and friends are encouraged to attend. To participate in this theatre camp, students MUST be available at all scheduled times. All participating students will have a role in this performance. No refunds will be processed after auditions.

But this year, Sheriff Crooks is determined to steal Granny’s recipe from her three grandchildren so they can’t win! With the prize money and Granny Pig’s recipe, the Sheriff and his daughter Lulu plan to open a chain of bar-b-que restaurants and become rich and famous! Meanwhile, Mama Pig is sick and tired of her home being treated like a pig sty, so it's time for Corky, Porky, and Slim to get gone! Mama Pig hires the Hay Famers, Lumberjacks, and Bricklayers to build each of her piggies their own house. Will Sheriff Crooks and his deputies steal the recipe and the competition, or will the Three Little Pigs prevail by the hairs on their chinny chin chins and win this year’s contest and do their Granny proud?
