Summer Trips for Franklin, Gage, and Sunset
Are you curious about the type of trees you have in your yard or the trees that grow in our region? Perhaps you are simply interested in trees. If so, here is just the opportunity for you. Join John as he hikes the trails of Oxbow Park and learn about the various species of trees that inhabit southeastern Minnesota. A brief slide presentation on the utilization of tree flowers as one of the keys to identification will precede the trip outdoors. Cosponsored with Zumbro Valley Audubon Society and Oxbow Park.

John has both a bachelor's and master's degree in Biology with the master's emphasizing natural history. He has over 40 years' experience as a nature photographer. John worked 30 years at Mayo Clinic, and has now been retired for over 12 years.
