Community Education - Rochester, Minnesota

This course is an introduction to the world of marine biology. Students will explore the oceans and the life within them. This course includes live animals and the opportunity to dissect some preserved specimens including squid and starfish. The instructor, Mrs. Moertel, has been a biology teacher at Century High School for 27 years. She is also a PADI divemaster and has been taking her students scuba diving all over the world. She raises Koi and loves fish of all types as well as her African Gray parrot, Ticket, who will help teach the course.
