Summer Trips for Franklin, Gage, and Sunset
LGBTQ+ youth, you are invited to play board games! Friends and allies are welcome too. We have played a wide range of games from the fast-paced "Taco, Cat, Goat, Cheese, Pizza" to "Coup," a game about calculated bluffing and betrayal. You do not need to bring any board games of your own, but we will priortize games brought by youth. Whether you are in high school or middle school, you will find a table that is fun for you.
We invite adults who identify as LGBTQ+ community members to play games with students. They serve as unique role models who are not always visible in our regular school environment.
How to Participate
Youth: Registration is optional, but encouraged. Show up at the event. If you feel comfortable, please register in advance using the Youth "Enroll Now" button on this page. This is the best way to receive announcements about future programs for LGBTQ+ youth.
Volunteers: Register using the Volunteer "Enroll Now" button on this page. If you haven't recently completed a background check for Rochester Public Schools, please follow the instructions to do so. Thank you to all of our volunteers. Your stories and presence are treasured.
