This course will provide a better understanding of the means and methods to a sustainable life starting with your home and diet and covering ideas for earth-friendly transportation, cleaning, and purchasing. Finally, this course will provide an overview of the tools that are available online and some that are specific to Rochester to help make these environmentally friendly decisions. Sponsored by EarthFest and Destination Medical Center.

Lauren Jensen

Lauren graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor’s degree in human resources, however after graduation she was eager to pursue her passion for environmental conservation and sustainability. She went on to complete two AmeriCorps programs, her first with an urban forestry nonprofit in California and her second back in Minnesota to serve with Winona County Environmental Services on stormwater management best practices through the MPCA’s MN GreenCorps program. In her current role with the City of Rochester, Lauren works to build a culture of sustainability through environmental, economic, and social equity components across a variety of initiatives.
