Join us for a flavorful evening exploring the rich and diverse world of authentic Indian cuisine! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn to make freshly prepared Indian breads from scratch. Ashwini will guide you through the steps of creating fresh dough and crafting delicious dishes like: Spinach Paratha (wholesome flatbread made with whole wheat flour, spinach, and aromatic spices), Batata Bhaji / Aloo Sabzi (a classic Indian potato dish), Bhatura (fluffy deep-fried leavened bread that pairs perfectly with savory dishes), Murgh Makhani (butter chicken), and Indian Masala Chai (spiced Indian tea made with cream and cardamom). During the interactive portion of the class, you’ll get hands-on experience mixing, kneading, rolling, and frying dough to make your own Indian breads. Please remember to bring an apron. We can’t wait to cook with you!
As a Culinary Instructor from India, Ashwini has been cultivating interest for Indian cooking for over seven years for adults and children in Community Education.
