Community Conversation: Understanding The Anxious Generation

Adult Enrichment / Wellness -
2025 Fall Adult Catalog

Join Community Education, RCTC's LIFE program, and Dr. Kris Meyer for a timely and thought-provoking public event as we explore Jonathan Haidt’s groundbreaking book, The Anxious Generation: How the Great Rewiring of Childhood Is Causing an Epidemic of Mental Illness. This public event will highlight key themes from the book, including the rise of anxiety and depression among youth, the role of social media and smartphones, and the cultural shifts shaping the well-being of the next generation. Whether you're a parent, educator, healthcare professional, or concerned community member, this free event offers a meaningful opportunity to engage in dialogue about the challenges facing young people today and how we can support healthier development. There is no fee for this event; however, registration is required. Let’s come together as a community to better understand what’s happening—and what we can do—to support the next generation.
