Recipes include: Vegetable Biryani (curried rice with vegetables, dried fruit and nuts); Navratan Korma (Indian cheese mixed with vegetables, nuts and spices); Murgh Korma (chicken cooked with yogurt, herbs and spices); Pooris (whole wheat bread fried and puffed), and Mango Lassi (a yogurt drink made with mangoes).

    Join us for a flavorful evening exploring the rich and diverse world of authentic Indian cuisine! In this hands-on class, you’ll learn to make freshly prepared Indian breads from scratch. Ashwini will guide you through the steps of creating fresh dough and crafting delicious dishes like: Spinach Paratha (wholesome flatbread made with whole wheat flour, spinach, and aromatic spices), Batata Bhaji / Aloo Sabzi (a classic Indian potato dish), Bhatura (fluffy deep-fried leavened bread that pairs perfectly with savory dishes), Murgh Makhani (butter chicken), and Indian Masala Chai (spiced Indian tea made with cream and cardamom). During the interactive portion of the class, you’ll get hands-on experience mixing, kneading, rolling, and frying dough to make your own Indian breads. Please remember to bring an apron. We can’t wait to cook with you!

You'll learn how to prepare a variety of authentic Indian dishes, including: Samosa (crisp, golden turnovers filled with a savory mix of potatoes, peas, nuts, and herbs), Saffron Rice (fragrant basmati rice infused with saffron, nuts, and aromatic spices), Chicken or Lamb Masala Curry (a rich and flavorful curry served in a creamy cashew nut sauce), Shahi Matar Paneer (homemade Indian cheese cooked with green peas in a mildly spiced herb sauce), and Raita (Indian yogurt salad). Join us for a flavorful and fun-filled culinary adventure!

    There is no better time to learn to make pie than with Thanksgiving right around the corner. In this class we will learn to make a failproof pie crust. This recipe makes two pie crusts with which we will make a cranberry walnut pie and a pumpkin pie from scratch. Each person will bring home two pie crusts. Please bring a pastry cutter to class...and save room to sample pie.

    Join me to learn how to make these beautiful and delicious Christmas sugar cookies. This cookie tradition started with my Auntie Boots 50+ years ago, and we have made them every year since. I would be delighted to share this tradition with you. Get ready to meet your new favorite Christmas cookie. Each participant will go home with roughly one dozen decorated cookies. Please bring a rolling pin with you to class.
